Where the Chemistry Happens…

The Project Leader is responsible and accountable for developing pipeline projects into profitable differentiated and sustainable crop solutions for our customers. The incumbent is fully accountable for the success of his/her projects/programs in achieving shortest time to submission, most effective registration strategy, product launch with shortest time to peak sales, and optimized operating results.

R&D Project Leader (1801173) – Research Triangle Park, NC

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Drive strategic projects and initiatives that support mid- and long-term AP goals.
- Work closely with Strategic Business Management and R&D to align the strategic positioning of projects within the portfolio.
- Coordinate with third parties for licensed in or agreed co-development projects.
- Present project/product strategies in various public and industry forums.
- Provide overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects/programs, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Ph.D./Master’s degree in Agriculture, Chemistry, Biological sciences, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of project management or similar experience.
- Experience managing or working in cross-functional global teams.
- Demonstrated communication and presentation skills to all levels of leadership.
- Experience with conflict management.
- Willing and able to travel internationally as needed for the position.
- Experience working on a global scale.
- Background in working in an integration environment.
- Broad management skills, and technical/scientific/business understanding.
