Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking an R&D Staff and Special Projects Coordinator to serve as the key liaison to the head of Plant Science Research. They will also serve as meeting coordinator and will support the Plant Science leadership in daily activities.

Formula for Success: You Will…

Support of Plant Science Research projects:
- Coordination of Plant Science R&D Portfolio (OD, KTC, and Creativity Projects)
- Opex/Capex Budget and resource planning; interface with Controlling
- Special Project Management and Preparation
- Asset Plan and coordination of Capex Projects
- Special tasks and projects assigned by head of Plant Science Research

Communication and leadership support:
- Support communication of the head of Plant Science Research into the organization: email broadcasts, presentation, speaking notes, others
- Prepare notes and key messages for all meetings of the head of plant science and one on ones
- Support strategy discussions as needed
- Coordinate and support departmental initiatives as required
- Preparation and support of Plant Science Management Meetings
- Track completion of projects, follow-ups and action points
- Coordinate events and visits with internal and external stakeholders: site visits from VIP, events with external partners and/or collaborators and so on

- Respond to reporting requirements for: executive briefings, research annual reports, monthly management reports, quarterly investor updates and so on
- Provide occasional briefings as requested
- Work closely with all stakeholders and staff to other executives

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
- Ph.D in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering with 1+ years related experience in project management, coordination of research and business efforts between functions, OR an MS Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 3+ years related experience in project management, coordination of research and business efforts between functions , OR a BS Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering with 5+ years related experience in project management, coordination of research and business efforts between functions.
- MBA is strongly desired

Demonstrated project management skills:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite required (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to successfully interact with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated initiative, with a strong drive for results
- Sensitivity and ability to maintain confidentiality is paramount to success
