We are currently searching for a motivated Regional Marketing Manager for our Agricultural Products (AP) Crop Protection Division in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

Regional Marketing Manager – Seed Solutions – (1801729)

The Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) is responsible for leading the regional development of the Seed Solutions business of the North American Agricultural Products Business. It provides the regional business units with short, mid and long-term seed treatment and in-furrow marketing strategies, portfolio management and product positioning to ensure the division maintains a sustainable profitable business in the region. The RMM performs as part of a matrix reporting structure within regional and global BASF.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Develop and implement, with the North American businesses and global marketing Seed Solution teams, the strategic marketing plan to ensure sustainable growth within the segment.
- Develop for the seed treatment and in-furrow portfolio mid and long term forecasting, business allocation, etc.
- Provide leadership and management in the identification, development, implementation and monitoring of seed treatment and in-furrow life cycle management projects and applies global strategies for new and existing products.
- Identify opportunities for in-licensing or other such alliance opportunities within the regional seed solution portfolio that would strengthen the total portfolio. Conduct business case analysis and engage in third party negotiations to support such opportunities.
- Plan and monitor the mid to long term financial performance of the seed solution assets within the region. Recommend and develop appropriate strategies to improve the positioning and profitability of the portfolio.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
- A minimum of 10 years business experience, including 5 years’ experience in business development, technical management, R&D or marketing and/or sales in crop protection with a working knowledge and experience in seed treatments (Biologicals, fungicides, inoculants, insecticides) and in-furrow markets.
- Bachelors in business, agriculture or related area.
- Proven capabilities in business development, marketing and financial analysis of the launch of new products.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating, leading and managing cross-functional teams.
- Required competencies include: customer focus, strategic and analytical thinking, marketing skills, negotiation and financial/business acumen.
