The US Technical Service team in the Professional and Specialty Solutions (PSS) group of the BASF Agricultural Products division is seeking a highly motivated Technical Market Manager (TMM) to join our team. The successful TMM will report to the US Technical Manager, and provide technical support of the US Pest Control business.

Formula for Success: You Will…

Provide technical support of the US Pest Control business, including focus in the following areas:
- Provide a critical link between R&D, global marketing, field technical service reps (TSR), and US product/market managers to identify technical features, benefits, product value proposition, and strategy development for new product concepts.
- Support R&D, life cycle management, and product launch excellence (PLE) teams to bring product innovations to market with all required technical data for federal and state/local registration and subsequent sales.
- Align with and support field TSRs on best way to continually support launched innovations, coordinate specialized/unique methods to demonstrate product attributes.
- Collaborate with regulatory, marketing, and TSRs to review and update product labels based on key learnings from product usage and related experiences that create customer and BASF success. Steward changes through BASF regulatory for submission to EPA/State regulatory agencies.
- Provide assistance and leadership to troubleshoot critical health/environmental inquires and complex/significant alleged product claims.
- Develop US technical demonstration and testing plan that supports and complements existing development data as market launch approaches.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- MS, or higher level, Degree in Entomology or Related Biology Field.
- MS degree with 8 years of field or field/laboratory research experience - OR - PhD degree with 5 years of field or field/laboratory research experience. (including graduate degree experience)
- Proficiency in protocol development, trial establishment, statistical analysis, reporting/summarization, and practical interpretation.
- Ability to properly develop/create and interpret product labels.
- Highly developed leadership skills, teamwork skills.
- Ability to travel 20% of the time.
- Demonstrated high proficiency to manage multiple project timelines, resolving technical issues, and proper communication to stakeholders.
- Effective communication to build positive and constructive consensus and agreement.

We Also Look For…
- PhD in Entomology, with specialization in urban and rural pest control (Termite, General Pest Control and/or Animal Health) or related biology field.
- 10+ years field and laboratory research experience, including protocol development, trial establishment, statistical analysis, reporting/summarization, and practical interpretation. (including graduate degree experience)
- Experience in product training, collaboration, and customer focus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in budget projections.
