Description
Key Responsibilities include:
- Identify market opportunities and support business development activities within key vertical markets for membrane technologies (e.g. F&B, power, mining, municipal)
- Lead and inspire local sales account manager and application engineering team
- Develop new sales leads and maintain relationship with existing customers in territory
- Identify and establish cooperation with distributors and sales channel partners
- Close follow up on projects, provide technical and commercial bids
- Technical and commercial negotiation with customers, contract negotiations
- Presentations and training to customers
- Revenue generation
- Product promotion and marketing support including participation in exhibitions and roadshows
- Provide support to achieve regulatory compliance and fulfill national regulatory water standards
- Maintain close contact to headquarter including monthly sales reporting
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering/Process or Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years in water treatment; UF-membrane technology background required
- Work experience should cover component supplier and/or system integration business
- In-depths knowledge on membrane technologies and/or membrane applications
- Comprehensive knowledge of competitive situation and market requirements in territory
- Good customer network (system integrators, engineering companies) in territory
- Regulatory compliance experience
- Foreign language: Spanish/German a plus
- Sales/application engineering experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience required
- Ability to close deals
- Travel >50%
