Account Representative I or II – Automotive Refinish (Northern California) (1703649) – San Francisco, CA

We are seeking an Account Representative to support the Northern California and Bay Area markets, working with automotive refinish paint customers to grow our market share. Formula for Success: You Will…
- Provide customer support, both distribution and collision, by training, product demonstrations, trouble-shooting, and color matching.
- Communicate across the refinish organization to drive customer retention, competitive conversions, improved product performance, and development of new products.
- Work with our R&D lab to identify and solve product complaints, which is a critical aspect of the position.
- Be an innovator and push yourself and your team to be the best every day.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- High School diploma required and a minimum of 2 years of sales, technical service or customer-facing experience required; 7 years of sales, technical service, or customer-facing experience is preferred.
- Automotive experienced required; automotive refinish or collision experience is strongly preferred.
- Customer relationship management – strong interpersonal skills, motivated, entrepreneurial, analytical, able to build relationships, able to manage conflict, and excellent time management skills.
- Negotiation experience is a plus.
- Strong PC skills, including experience using MS Office, Customer Relationship Management programs, and web browsers.
- Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% (mostly local day travel, with minimal overnights).
