We are seeking a Functional Crop Care Technical Services Specialist to function out of Alberta and Saskatchewan territories.

Functional Crop Care (FCC) Technical Services Specialist (1800789) – Alberta and Saskatchewan

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Ensure Marketing, Sales, and Technical product positioning is in alignment for the FCC portfolio. Support sales objectives through direct interaction with the sales team and technical development team, and indirectly by influencing key external customers associated with the FCC business.
- Provide technical training to the sales force and key influencers associated with the FCC business. This includes training the sales staff on products within the FCC portfolio, third-party equipment utilized when applying products within the FCC portfolio, and technical support with product investigation where necessary.
- Seek input from the Regional Technical Manager - FCC for on design and training techniques suitable for adult education.
- Support and execute summer demand creation activities including large-scale grower trials and demonstration sites with focus on products within the FCC portfolio. Contribute supportive data to meet sales objectives and address product usage questions, including coordinating of third-party testing to support label expansion.
- Administer local demonstration and grant programs.
- Monitor key centers of influence (COI) associated with the FCC business through relationship building and regular contact with universities, consultants, provincial extension staff, seed cleaning and treating facilities, seed treatment and seeding equipment manufacturers, and retail agronomists. Provide product information, label updates, and technical results to these COI's.
- Serve as the technical link to the marketplace through regular interaction with Brand Managers, Business Representatives, Innovation Specialists, Strategic Account Managers, Technical Marketing Managers, Regulatory, and Biology.
- Develop knowledge and expertise with new BASF products 1 year prior to market release.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Biology with emphasis on Crop Science, Weed Science, Agronomy, Entomology, Plant Pathology, or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 2 years of relevant field experience.
- Demonstrated ability to recommend product positioning based on evaluating data and customer needs.
- Experience in working with seed treaters, seed treatment application equipment, seeding equipment, growers, distribution/retail, universities, or consultants would be beneficial.
