We are seeking a professional like you who will be responsible for providing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the assigned shift within our Seneca, SC facility.

Shift Supervisor (Night Shift) (1800078) – Seneca, SC

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Establish, reinforce, and support a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with all relevant EHS regulations and procedures/policies.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise individual performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
- Set goals and objectives of the operations staff of the area
- Direct and coordinate activities concerned with production of company product(s) by performing the duties personally and/or through subordinates.
- Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
- Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
- Coordinate production activities with purchasing, maintenance, and quality to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Review and analyze production, quality control, and maintenance activities.
- Implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
- Assist in revising production schedules and priorities because of equipment failure or operating problems.
- Consult with engineering personnel.
- Compile, store, and retrieve production data.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
- Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- High School Diploma/Equivalent required with at least 5 years of related experience within a Chemical manufacturing environment; OR Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience in a supervisory/leadership role within a Chemical manufacturing environment.
- Solid experience managing large groups of operators.
- Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills and excellent math skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others.
- This is a night shift role, but the selected candidate must be willing and able to work rotating shifts based on site need.
- Must be able to lift to 40 pounds.
