Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking an Auto Auction Key Account Manager II to join our team. Candidates will work from a home office and can be located in most locations with East Coast locations preferred.

The Auto Auction Key Account Manager is accountable to deliver profitable organic growth for the Automotive Refinish business through the management of a key strategic national account who possess’ long term potential with BASF. The position is the first point of contact and is responsible for managing the account including day to day growth opportunities as well as long term business and strategic planning, new business expansion and project management. The Auto Auction Key Account Manager is expected to develop and maintain strong relationships at the executive, corporate, and regional levels.

Key Account Manager, Auto Auction (1700951)

You will manage a small team of sales technical representatives who provide training, problem solving, productivity solutions, and overall technical support at individual auction recon centers.

Ideally, the Auto Auction Key Account Manager has the ability to network broadly both externally and internally to provide timely solutions to multiple critical business issues that impact our overall customer perception and long term success. Ability to negotiate successful outcomes to complex negotiations is a must.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Deliver profitable organic growth with key distributor(s)
- Develop and execute the key account plan to include distributor strategic growth and direction as well as ensuring alignment with customer and internal stakeholders
- Communicate and influence across internal organization to ensure execution of key activities
- Communicate and influence across the distributor organization to ensure BASF policies and strategy are implemented
- Manage distributor conflict / channel conflict
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams (supply chain, marketing, technical, controlling) internally and externally across multiple levels at distributor
- Track and manage deals and deal approvals
- Manage all customer activity within the CRM database
- Manage administrative tasks, e.g. forecasting, accounts receivables, order management

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years commercial or business experience dealing with senior management required
- Minimum 5 years working in a production environment required
- Minimum 5 year’s collision, automotive refinish or OEM coatings experience preferred
- Auto auction experience strongly preferred
- Strong Project management experience required
- Ability to travel 75%
