Senior Product Regulations Specialist (1801870)

**The preferred work location for this position is Southfield, MI. Alternate work locations may include Charlotte, NC, Florham Park, NJ, or Wyandotte, MI.**

Where the Chemistry Happens

The Product Regulatory Center of the Expertise Substance Team is primarily responsible for Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) governance including regulatory compliance program elements, assessments, strategies, notifications, agency reporting, training, and investigations.

As a senior member of the Substance Team, you will provide regulatory leadership to the Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs community and Global and Regional business groups through the shared services platform enabling TSCA, CEPA, and other product regulatory compliance and business advantages within new and existing markets.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success
- Leveraging your product regulatory and technical experience, you will develop, implement, and maintain TSCA/CEPA programs, procedures, and training for existing business, and new business acquisitions as a Senior North American Product Regulatory expert.
- Your educational and professional background in reaction mechanisms in chemistry, combined with your new substance notification experience will be a valued asset as you collaborate with BASF Group’s regional/global business and technical management to prepare and submit North American notifications, while serving as the technical contact with agencies.
- Your hazard mediation and advocacy skills will ensure agency regulations and risk management controls on BASF products and substances are appropriate.
- Your strategic advice and action will minimize supply disruptions, implement cost savings, and increase contribution margins for BASF as documented through NCU/R’s VBM program.
