Where the Chemistry Happens…

This role supports the sales of BASF products and services at a specific account site or region by monitoring the use of products in customer applications, responding to customer requirements, and enforcing product quality/performance specifications. In addition, s/he supports new product/application development and launches. This position will demonstrate the technical and professional expertise to enhance BASF’s reputation with the customer. The successful incumbent will monitor and control key performance indicators within product service environments to drive problem resolution and product improvement initiatives critical to customer performance expectations.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Be responsible for material forecasting and inventory management.
- Measure, monitor, analyze, and report product and process performance.
- Support paint application, product utilization, and process optimization.
- Support complaint investigation, analysis, and problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain productive and profitable customer relationships.
- Identify and effectively communicate customer needs to the internal organization.
- Support product launches and/or conversions.
- Assist the development of long-term communication, product, and service strategies.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- High School Diploma + 4 years related experience; Associate’s degree+ 3 years related experience required; Bachelor’s or advanced degree preferable + 2 years related experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working with automotive OEMs on a technical level or relevant experience required.
- Coatings experience is preferred.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP.
- Working knowledge of coatings including application, quality and performance requirements, and defect identification
- Problem identification, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and resolution skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills.
