Lab Leader - Hydomet (1802346) – Tucson, AZ

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to serve as a Lab Leader – Hydomet out of our Tucson, AZ facility.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success
- Lead all lab processes for hydrometallurgical and solid liquid separation techniques and procedures, maintain/repair lab equipment, and ensure ISO requirements are met for each instrument and procedure.
- Track hydrometallurgical and solid liquid separation analysis, perform testing for customer-related projects, prepare samples per customer requests and ensure they meet specifications, and prepare laboratory QC solutions, diluents, and standards.
- Leveraging your educational and professional background in a science-related discipline, you will perform analysis on plant profile samples, and log and report results to the Technical Sales Group.
- Your strong commitment to providing accurate and timely information to key stakeholders will be critical as you will update databases, track samples and results, and draft/revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Successfully engaging inside and outside the organization, you will deal directly with the Sales Team and perform requested analyses, fulfill sample requests from customers, and perform unique plant-specific analyses.
- As a trusted informational resource, you will serve as the functional lead on regulatory-related activities for the side, and operate as a competent RCRA hazardous waste employee.
