We are seeking a Project Manager to function out of our Wyandotte, MI location.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Manage capital and expense projects that fall under the responsibility of the Wyandotte Engineering Hub.
- Lead multiple projects and become highly integrated into a business unit within the Wyandotte site through project and coordination of technical assistance support.
- Become involved at various phases of the project execution cycle from Front End Loading through commissioning.
- Conduct scope development, conceptual design, process design, detailed design, cost estimate preparation, coordination of required project reviews, preparation of approval documentation, coordination of project-related procurement activities, construction, and commissioning support.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline combined with at least 8 years of professional experience; OR a Master’s degree with 5 years of experience; OR a Ph.D. with 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, or Project Manager.
- At least 5 years of experience in the chemical industry where related technical skills were applied.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated work experience in project execution including construction.
- Working knowledge of chemical process equipment including rotating equipment, piping, valves, relief devices, heat transfer, solids handling, storage tanks, and vessels.
- Very strong customer focus capabilities to closely interact with multiple organizational levels.
- Solid interpersonal, communication, administrative, personal motivation, and personal adaptability skills.
- Experience in account management, developing and maintaining relationships with multiple clients while acting as the primary interface with engineering resources.
- Experience working in a lab or pilot facility environment desired.
- A PMP Certification and Professional Engineer License preferred.
- Knowledge of the BASF Project Execution Roadmap is a plus.
- Working knowledge of process measurement and control instruments is preferable.
- Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) is a differentiator.
- Ability to interact and communicate at a high competency level in manufacturing technical discussions is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
