The Chemical Intermediates business in North America recognizes that superior supply chain planning and execution are essential elements of our overall success.

This position requires an experienced Supply Chain Planner with chemical industry operational experience, combined with strong logistics knowledge, analytical thinking, and accounting skills. This role is responsible for executing and helping to guide the finite plan at one of our key production plants at Zachary site. This includes raw material planning and balancing, finished goods production posting and reconciliation, and all aspects of related supply chain planning. The position supervises the Materials Control Coordinator. This key position collaborates with multiple functions and business groups across the site, and is instrumental in the supply chain planning requirements for the site.

Supply Chain Planner (1702922) – Zachary, LA

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain finite production plan and inventory management processes.
- Lead the site production planning process with a cross-functional team to ensure visibility and alignment between functions and across business groups.
- Supervise the logistics planner responsible for shipping of products and small container packaging.
- Responsible for raw material planning and replenishment, ordering, invoice approvals, and inventory management.
- Complete month- end closing reconciliations, daily balancing of raw materials and finished goods inventory, and creation of daily and monthly production reports.
- Track conformance to schedule and ensure product availability for finished goods.
- Coordinate movement of materials and tank management to meet customer requirements and support regional and global demand for on- and off-site terminal locations.
- Manage and optimize drumming schedule to meet customer demand – create process orders, monitor inventory levels, and manage dysfunctional inventory.
- Calculate and communicate production volumes and raw material yields.
- Complete annual physical inventory audits.
- Create and maintain purchase requisitions and service entries for supplies and services.
- Manage the NCM process for all shipping and customer related non-conformance activities.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Chemical Manufacturing Planning, or Materials Management required.
- Strong leadership skills required.
- Detailed working knowledge of SAP relative to production planning, raw material replenishment, shipping scheduling, and inventory reconciliation required
- Strong analytical skills, including expert knowledge in Excel.
- Execution-oriented with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
- Independent, strong analytical thinking capability, proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent external and internal customer focus.
- APICS certification preferred.
